Academics

I’m a double major in Computer Science and Hispanic Linguistics at UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating in Spring 2025. My academic work explores the intersection of language, logic, and system design.

Current Research

My senior honors thesis explores how code-switching reflects emotional valence in mixed-language discourse. I’m interested in whether sociolinguistic patterns can inform sentiment analysis systems in ways traditional models miss.

I approach this work through both formal semantic analysis and pragmatic framing, combining annotated corpora, syntactic typology, and natural language inference tools.
